Chapter Eleven
Andrew whistled into his office the next day, feeling happy for no just reason.
“Having a good morning?”Mark asked as he stood by the window watching Andrew walk in
“Why do you enjoy coming into my office, from what I recall your’s is out there”Andrew replied
“I know, just wanted to enjoy a little view and also to ask how your date went yesterday or better yet I should just ask what Miss Claire did to make you this happy?”Mark asked
“She did nothing, am just happy”Andrew replied
“Liar!”Mark scoffed at him only to receive a smile
“Tell me some thing, if a lady tells you that she will finally move on from her one sided love for someone, is it true?”Andrew asked
“It depends on how willing she is but in the case of Miss Claire,I think she will pull it right off “Mark replied
“I wasn’t talking about Claire!”Andrew yelled at him .
“I wasn’t born yesterday and I know things about Miss Claire too after all I did the findings for you”Mark answered softly
“You are right! Will she be able to get on from Ben?”Andrew asked still not sure
“She will and with you around to convince her of that, it will certainly work. Now admit it, you like Miss Claire right?”He asked and Andrew found himself thinking hard before giving a reply.
“I think so”He replied
“I don’t think you think so, I know you are, you are head over heels in love with Miss Claire” Mark corrected
“If wanting to be with her all the time, wanting to protect her and wanting to make her happy is being head over heels then I agree with you”Andrew replied
“That’s great then! What do you have planned today with Miss Claire?”Mark asked
“Am taking her to watch a movie”he replied
“You really work fast Drew”Mark said giving him a large grin.
Mark phone began to ring and after talking for a while, he cut the call.
“Gotta to leave for the conference, send you update as soon as am there “He said turning to leave.
“A little advice from me, pick a horror movie to watch, girls tend to get scared and clutch on you while watching it, something might happen while doing it with Miss Claire”Mark said by the door way and not waiting for a reply, he walked off leaving Andrew with a new idea.

“Isn’t the cinema a bit pack today”Claire asked as she walked beside Andrew.
“A new action series just came out, a lot of people certainly will come watch it and that is why, I booked a whole room for us”He replied
“But that will cost you a lot, tell me the amount and I will share the cost with…..”
“Forget it! I already payed for it and besides you said I should pay for the next date”He said as they went to their booked room.
“Okay! Do you know the name of the action film we will be watching cause I…..”
“We aren’t watching an action film, we are watching an horror movie instead “Andrew said cutting her off
“An horror?”She asked looking a bit scared
“Yes an horror movie,common”He said as he walked in having a smile on his face.
He really hope Mark theory about the horror movie works.
A while later Andrew sat in the room hating the whole thing.
Why was the movie suddenly getting scary, he thought as he clutched the arm of the chair tightly
“What’s wrong?”Claire asked and he stared at Claire to see her not scared or bothered by the scary things being shown in the screen.
“Nothing! Nothing”He replied as he sat up in his seat
“If you are scared, we can just leave”Claire said holding back a grin
“What do you mean by scared? Am not……Arrrrrgh!!!”He yelled when a female ghost popped out of nowhere.
He turned to see Claire starring at him “it’s…it’s just that I……”He didn’t get to finish his word when she began to laugh.
“If you were scared of horror movie why did you let us watch it” Claire asked
“Am not scared! I just…..”he stopped to give her a look.
“Okay! Why don’t we do this!”She said taking his hand
“Do what?”
“Let’s go somewhere else, I know somewhere better than this”She said as she pulled him up
“But what about the movie?”He asked
“You are scared! Let’s just forget it “She said and before he could make anymore excuse,she pulled him out of the room.
A while later they stood outside while watching the rain pour.
“I didn’t know it will pour “Andrew said as he stared at Claire who was starring at the rain in a strange way.
“Isn’t it beautiful?”Claire replied
“You call this beautiful? I don’t think so, let’s just wait until the car……what are you doing?” He said as he stared at Claire who was now in the rain
“Having fun! You should loosen up some time and enjoy, I bet you have never been wet by the rain before right?”Claire asked as she stood happily in the rain
“Have not and you might get a cold!”He said
“I might look little and weak but I have a very strong body, come join me”She said as she pulled him into the rain with her.
“Loosen up and enjoy”she said as she walked around in the rain with her,smiling and looking as radiant as ever.
Andrew didn’t even notice that he was in the rain because all his attention was focused on Claire smiling face.
Mark is right! He really has fallen head over heels with her, he thought as he smiled back at her.
Andrew stopped the car right in front of the house Claire lived.
He stared at her only to see that she was asleep.
Instead of waking her up, he sat there watching her sleep peacefully.
How beautiful she looked even while she was asleep, he thought as he flicked a hair from her face.
He moved towards her wanting to steal a kiss when sneezed at him.
“Where are we?”She asked as she opened her eyes while he quickly moved back to his seat
“Your home”He replied
“How do you know where I live?”She asked
“I have all your info with….I mean all the employee info are with me”He corrected quickly
“Okay! Thank you Andrew,today was great”She said
“But we hardly had a date”
“We did, right in the rain and I enjoyed it more than the horror movie and just so you know am not that easily scared and am more into Action than horror or romance”She said as she got out of the car
“Goodnight sir”with that said she walked in and Andrew found himself smiling.
Claire is really different from the other girls he knew, it will be fun knowing more about her.

Claire layed on her bed having one of her dreams again.
There she saw someone lying on the sofa, coughing and looking ill.
He had some sheets around him and kept on coughing, he looked very ill and wouldn’t even go to the hospital.
“I will be fine” the sick person said as he talked to someone on the phone
“Seriously am okay…..don’t you know that Andrew Black never gets sick ?”
On his last sentence ,Claire woke up from her sleep only to find herself in her room.
He will be sick,could it have been from the rain? She thought as she got out of bed to prepare for work.
Luckily it’s a Friday, she will be having two days free, she thought as her mind drifted to her dream.
Andrew had been alone while he was sick,she thought as she took her phone to give him a call but then she stopped herself.
“This is none of your business Claire! If he is going to be sick then let him be, the more you don’t get yourself involved in his business,the better for you”She said to herself and with that thought in mind, she left for work.
Claire was busy with some finishing touch on a project when Grace walked into the office with a gossip to give as always.
“Guess what guys?”she asked softly
“If you are going to let us guess then don’t tell us”Peter replied
“Just tell us already,I hate guessing”Brenda added
“Fine then! Turns out the big boss didn’t show up today that means we can leave work early”Grace said feeling very happy.
“That’s great! I get to leave early to enjoy the weekend”Brenda added
“Why didn’t he show up today, it’s very odd,don’t you think?”Peter asked
“Well I think he is having fun somewhere by himself or maybe he is on a date with Sofia Belmont”Grace replied.
Or maybe he is at home, feeling sick, she didn’t Cleary see the date in her dream but if he didn’t show up today,definitely her dream is coming to a reality today, she thought.
“Whatever! Let’s just leave early “Brenda said and while the three prepared to leave, Claire left the office to dial Mark number and on the third ring he picked the call.
“This is a surprise Miss Claire I…..”
“I just wanted to tell you to go to Mr Andrew apartment, he is very sick right now”She said cutting Mark off
“What do you mean by sick?”He asked
“I will explain later just go to his apartment and….”
“But am not around, I left for Australia this morning “Mark replied cutting her off
“Then no one is with him?”Claire asked
“I don’t think he is sick! Andrew never gets ill but to put your mind at rest, I will call him”He said and hang up before she could say more.
Claire was still standing by the hall when he called her back.
“How is he?”she asked
“I told you Andrew is not sick! He just told me so himself”Mark replied and Claire remembered that in her dream, Andrew had answered Mark call and had lie to him while laying sick on the bed.
“You don’t have to worry, Andrew is like an ox who…..” She switched off the phone cutting Mark off.
She got into her office to take her stuff, leaving work early like the rest.
“Where are you going in a rush?”Grace asked while the other two stared at her
“To take care of someone! Lock up when you are done”She said as she rushed out of the office heading to Andrew house.
