Chapter one
Walking out of the mansion, dressed in an expensive bridal gown, with her bouquet in her hands, the bride to be walked towards the garden where the wedding was taking place.
On getting to the garden which had been decorated in the most expensive way, she stared at the guest who had all come for the wedding.
Judging from the look on their faces, she could tell that some of the looks sent her way was one of happiness and jealousy, after all she was dressed in one of the best bridal gown and the garden which had only looked like the garden just earlier now looks like a big luxurious hall.
Bracing herself , she began the bridal walk to where the judge and her husband to be was waiting for her.
He had his back turned to her and some how she willed him to turn around and look at her but he never did.
It wasn’t until she got to his side that he finally looked her way. A smile was on his face and seeing the way he stared at her some how got her returning his smile.
“Once you sign this paper, you will be my wife. If you don’t want to you can leave but if you are sure about it then take my hand”He said stretching his hand to her
She stared at his outstretched hand and without thinking further, she slipped her hand into his.
“I want to be your wife” she replied giving him a smile

“No! No! No!” The dreamer woke up with a yell only to find herself in her little room and not in the grand Garden which she had been dreaming of.
Claire Maxwell took a deep breath as she got out of bed and went to the balcony to take in a bit of the morning sun.
Marriage? She thought solemnly and to some one she didn’t even know.
It would have been better if it were just a dream but she knew that it wasn’t, it was the future, A future of her self getting married in three weeks time and what puzzles her most about it is that she has never met this supposed husband of hers.
It all began when she clocked sixteen on the same night that her parents died. She had been in the car with them when the accident occur and she had been the only survivor, though she came out of it scarred, it was a miracle that she even survived.
She could still remember that the dreams began coming to her just three days after the incident. Claire had thought it was just some kind of dream or a premonition but all that changed when she realised that what ever she dream of turns out to be a reality.
Her twin brother Luke had nicknamed her “The future seeker ” while her grandma had said it was a miracle.
Claire didn’t think of it as a miracle, She didn’t like seeing the future much less her’s. She would have preferred it if she had never been gifted such an ability.
There were times when it did helped and at times like this she hated knowing what the future is.
How can she possibly get married to a stranger in three weeks time, some one she didn’t even know.
Claire was still thinking about this strange dream of hers when the door burst open and Nick, her twin brother walked into the room.
“I heard you wailing out a Loud No! Did you have one of those dreams?”He asked as he came to stand beside her by the balcony.
“How many times have I told you to knock whenever you are coming into my room!”Claire yelled at him.
He might be her twin and he might be the same age as her but he tends to behave like a kid who hasn’t grown out of his teenage years yet.
“Oops! Sorry! I guess I forgot”He said giving her a smile which showed that he did it on purpose.
“Tell me sis! What did you see this time? Do you see me getting married to Alicia?”He asked eagerly.
Alicia Drake is Nick boss at the real estate company where he works and she happens to be Claire best friend.
Ever since Nick met her, he has been head over heels but Alicia being an ambitious lady doesn’t want to get involved with a guy not even with her best friend twin brother.
“Tell me Claire? Did you see me and Alicia being together some day?”He asked
“No I didn’t, what I saw today was some thing far worse” Claire replied
“Worse? Don’t tell me if it’s some thing bad, I would rather face it when the time comes than you telling me about it”Nick said quickly.
“What do you think about me getting married”Claire asked suddenly
“Married? You must be joking! I don’t see you getting married in three months from now”he said making a joke of the situation.
“And why do you think so?”Claire asked a bit offended
“I know how infatuated you are with Ben, You have been following him around ever since you became a teenager. I also know for a fact that Ben only sees you as a younger sister and that though he has a girlfriend, you still stick around him hoping that he might notice you some day which I doubt will ever happen”Nick said softly
Claire looked away feeling angry at being caught. Ben Grand had been their close friend from childhood.
Claire has always have a soft spot for him ever since she was twelve but that soft spot all changed when she fell for him .
She always follow him around, liked the same thing he liked, attend the same high school and college just so she could be near him and hoping with hope that one day, he will notice how she feel about him but that day hasn’t even surface yet.
“Wait! Don’t tell me that your recent dream is about you and Ben. Did you see yourself getting married to Ben?”Nick asked suddenly jolting her back to reality
“Of course not?”Claire said quickly
“Then what is all this marriage talk about ?”Nick asked
“Well I kind of saw myself getting married to some one in three weeks time?” She said softly
“What? “Nick said not quite believing her
“I am also surprised myself”Claire said softly
“You made that up right?”Nick asked softly and when she gave no reply he rushed out of the room calling their grandma.
Knowing that he was a tattle tale, Claire went after him but when she got down stairs, he was already telling his grand ma every thing she told him.
“You are such a gossiper!”Claire yelled at him.
“This isn’t gossiping Claire, you know I like to know about your dreams” Celine Maxwell said
“I know that grandma but not this kind of dream, am not even sure it’s real and just like you said Nick, it can’t be the future”Claire said softly
“But you said you will be getting married in three weeks time”Nick said
“That is all just a dream. I don’t see myself getting married to any one other than Ben”Claire replied as she went to sit at the empty space beside her grandma
“Tell me some thing Claire, Do you really love Ben?” Her grandma asked and she nodded softly.
Apart from Nick, her grandma along with Alicia were the only ones who knew that she was in love with Ben.
“Do you think that Ben will some day reciprocate your feelings”She asked
“I don’t know grandma but am willing to stay beside him until he realises that. He has been having issue with Cindy and I think that they will break up. Once that happens, I will be there to make him see how I feel”Claire said
“Do you think he will notice you?”Nick huffed
“Of course he will. I believe that my efforts with Ben will be worth it someday. I only picture my future with Ben and no one else”Claire stated firmly
“If you are sure about Ben and your feeling then there is nothing we can do to change that and since you said this dream you had is just a silly dream then it’s nothing that you should worry about”Her grandma said trying to soothe her.
Claire tried to think the same way as her grandma but she knew that it was impossible .
All of the dreams she has, always come true no matter what she do to prevent it.
Well as long as she never meets this stranger in her dream, it certainly wouldnt happen.
Ben is the only one for her and he will keep on being the only one for her, she thought with conviction.
LATER THAT DAY
Dressed with purpose, Claire walked into one of the famous restaurant in the city heading to the rest room where Alicia was waiting for her.
“Finally you are here!”Alicia said as she pulled Claire into the restroom.
“I came as soon as Nick told me what happened”Claire said
“Thanks! Dad planned this blind date behind my back, he made me believe that I was here to see an investor but instead he turns out to be a date of mine” Alicia said
“The guy thinks that I planned all this, he is already talking about wanting another date with me and I certainly don’t want that, help me get out of this”Alicia added taking Claire hands in hers
“I wouldn’t be here if it isn’t to help you, see! Am even dressed with some sort of idea in mind”Claire said mischievously
“Tell me about it, I will do all I can as long as I can get out of this with out causing a fuss”Alicia said quickly and for the next few minutes Claire filled Alicia in on the idea she had in mind.
“You truly are a genius Claire, I wouldn’t know how to handle all this blind date if I didn’t have you as my friend”Alicia said
“Now hold on a sec, am not doing this for free”Claire said
“I should have known”Alicia said giving her a fake angry look
“Cut me some slack here Alicia. You are the daughter of one of the powerful bankers in this country, you should know how to share a bit of your money with me”Claire said
“And there are some things that I do free for you right or should we just forget about it and I leave”Claire added
“Don’t you dare! You are here already and so you must play your part and I will be rewarding you with a huge sum of money”Alicia said and that earned her a smile from Claire.
“You really know how to take care of this poor friend of yours! Common let’s go and send this blind date of yours off”Claire said pulling Alicia out of the rest room back into the restaurant.
“Where is this blind date of yours?”Claire asked as they stood beside the counter looking at the occupant in the restaurant.
“He is over there”Alicia said as she pointed to a far end.
Claire followed her direction only to freeze right on the point.
This can’t be happening! She thought as she kept starring at the guy who sat at one of the table busy with some thing on his phone.
“Handsome right? He would have been my dream guy if I wasn’t so devoted to my job”Alicia said to Claire who still kept on starring at the guy.
This couldn’t be happening, it couldn’t possibly be the stranger in her dreams sitting just a few paces away from her.
