Josh’s pov
I almost started laughing but got a hold of myself and bite the bott-om of my li-ps. I so much love the look on her face.
I knew she was in for a shock when she gets to find out that she will be staying with six boys, or maybe seven and that includes Johnny in a house.
Her gaze slowly rested on my face. I couldn’t hold it anymore other than to smirk at her.
She glared at me and cleared her throat. “Um, hey, can I have a word with you?” She asked me.
I smiled and got up to my feet. “Sure, Princess.”
We both left the dinning room and went over to the sitting room. She folded her arms across her ch-est and glared at me even more.
“What?” I asked.
“Why didn’t you tell me I was going to stay with six boys?”
“Six? Nah, actually seven.” I corrected feeling proud of myself. I have just rendered her speechless, isn’t that a great news?
She smir-ked. “You did this intentional didn’t you?” Wow, this girl is so smart. Of course, I did. It was just a little surprise I had for my little fake girlfriend. Am I not a great fake boyfriend?
I could see her li-ps twitch up in a smile. Why was she smiling? Was this somekind of joke to her? Doesn’t she feel intimidated or what?
“Do you think I’m going to feel intimidated?” She asked. “Well, unfortunately for you, I don’t. Hey, you might not know but I was once a tomboy, so hanging out with guys was never a problem to me.”
Fu-ck! This girl is wow. How can she say all that with all seriousness. Yeah, with her appearance she definitely looked like a tomboy but she really doesn’t feel intimidated staying with seven guys in a house?
“Very well said, Princess. But are you sure you can keep up with us all?”
She tilt her head to the other side. “Try me.”
Whoa, she just challenged me. This girl just challenged me. I’m so going to make her life hell in this house.
She unfolded her arms from her ch-est and sighed. “What’s up with the Js? Almost, no, all of you name starts with a J, including Johnny.” She said.
Yeah, that was more like a tradition in the house. It was part of the rules that every member of the house must pick a name starting with the letter J. Oh. Yeah. I know a perfect plan to make her feel intimidated in this house.
The rules will surely make her uncomfortable, no doubt.
“You will find out soon.” That was all I could say with a smirk. She just rolled her eyes at me but said nothing in return.
?Ashley’s pov?
With that smirk on his face, I knew he was up to something very bad. Why do I feel like I might hate whatever is going to happen next.
When I told I wasn’t intimidated, I was kinda lying. I was totally scared. Those guys in that dinning room are so gorgeous. I might be a tomboy but I am still a girl who can tell when guy a handsome and when not.
And trust me, those guys in there are all handsome. I really can’t differentiate their names. But I do know one thing…they all have a name starting with J.
“Come on, let’s go before they think we are making out here again.” Josh said with a smirk.
He must really love smirking. I nod my head and we both made our way to the dinning room.
After dinner. We all sat down on the floor at the sitting room. I hug-ged my knees against my ch-est and placed my head at the top of my knees.
Josh sat by my right while, I guess Jason sat by my left.
There was a paper set in our middle. I was just staring at the paper wondering what it could be.
“Now,” Jayden, I guess began. “Miss, we all have rules guiding this house.” The others nods in agreement. “On that paper contain the rules.”
“Yes. They are ten in numbers.” Jason said with a smile. Yeah, I recognize that smile he was definitely Jason.
“First rule is, your name.” Jayden said.
I furrowed by brows at him. Don’t they know my name? “Ashley.” I said. They all laughed for a while. Okay, that’s not cool at all.
“We are not asking for your real name but we are actually asking for a name you will like to use that begins with a J.” Jackson explained. His voice was so calm and de-ep.
I smiled at his kind gesture but was still confuse. “And why should I do that?” I couldn’t help but ask.
“Because that is the only way we can accept you.” The guy whose name I don’t know said. He was the one with the frown earlier. I didn’t bother to hear his name because his face wasn’t helping at all.
“Oh.” I mouthed. It all make sense now, this was some kind of ritual to welcome me in as their newest member, I should have known.
“So what name do you have in mind, Princess?” That jerk who brou-ght me to this mess asked.
I scowled at him. What a jacka-ss. “I really don’t know.” I said truthfully.
“Um, how about Jenny?” Jason asked.
Jenny? Nah, I don’t like the name, it sounds like Jelly. “Nah.”
“How about Jane?” Jayden asked.
I shook my head no again and suddenly a name came into mind. “How about Jessie J?”
They all stare at me. Yeah, I know Jessie J was one popular musician and I kinda like the name. Hey, before you start judging me. I never liked her, in fact I don’t know her or her music to like her. But I kinda heard her name from Tiffany when she was having an intense argument with Jasmine about who is best between Jessie J and Jennifer Lopez.
Those two girls are one celebrity freaks.
“Why the name?” The guy with the frown asked.
I arched my eyebrow at him. “You guys asked me to choose a name and I kinda like the name Jessie J.” I replied.
They all shrugged their shoulders aside from Josh and the guy with the frown.
“Okay. Rule number one is gone. Let’s welcome Jessie J.” Jayden said with a smile on his face.
This thing was so childish but who could believe it that these cute celebrities who dance and sing out there can actually behave like a cute adorable puppy inside? Definitely not someone who hasn’t lived with them.
I smiled. “Thank you. Thank you.” I said. With the way things are going right now, I think am going to like it here.
“So how about Rule number two.” I asked.
“Not yet time to disclose the rule. Each pa-ssing day comes with a rule. It’s gonna be like that for ten days before you can finally become part of us.” Jayden said. Hmm, this guy seems like a talkative.
Why is he the only one doing all the talking? I smiled again. Mom taught me one thing: always pull up a smile even when it is something stupid so you wouldn’t hurt anyone emotions.
“Alright.” I said in a whisper and turn to look at Josh but he was not there. He was gone. But how long? And why did he leave just like that? I smack my head mentally, what was wrong with me? Why do I even care whether he was here or not.
I turned to Jason who was smiling at me, I returned his smile. If smile has a finish point then my smile should have being finished by now.
