Ashley’s pov

Stupid alarm! Arrrrgh! I slammed the alarm shut and used the covers to cover my face. I hate morning. Okay, that was a lie.
I pulled the covers from my face and got up to a sitting position. I switch my phone on to see what time it was, it reads 5:30am.
What? Why had i set the alarm by this time? God, I’m so dumb. I fell back to the bed to get some more sleep when i heard a knock open.
My mind suddenly moved to Joshua. He was the only one who gets up as early as this for his morning run. Yes, the morning run.
Should i join him? should i not? I was still contemplating when i heard a stumble from the stairs.
I quickly got out of my bed and ran out of my run down to the stairs.
“ouch!” I saw Joshua rubb-ing his bu-tt as he got up. He look so adorable. yes, adorable. I couldn’t help myself as i started laughing.
He snapped his head to me and a glare appeared on his face. Awkward! I quickly swallowed the next laugh that tried to escape from my li-ps.
“good morning.” I greeted with a wave.
I eyed me from head to toe. “what was so funny?” He asked instead of returning my greetings. Jerk! He is no different from that Jacka-ss.
Speaking of the jacka-ss, i forgot to tell you want happened after our return from the hospital. Here is a cli-p of what happened.

When we got back from the hospital, i was still blus-hing from what he said to the press. I mean, that was the first time for a guy to claim me. It felt lovely but at the same time annoying. I was not his. We are not even together.
Josh stopped walking and turned to me. I was so lost in thought that i didn’t realize that he was watching.
He moved closer to me and flic-kered his stupid fingers to my face with a smirk on his face.
“what are you thinking, Princess?”
“nothing that concerns you.” I said and walked past him to the sitting room but the jackas-sdon’t know when to give up.
“whoa, now I’m so curious to know what it was you were thinking.”
I stopped walking and turned to him. “do you want to know?” He nods. “i was thinking about how possessive you can be when we are not actually together. Its su-cks, dude.”
He chuckled. “that was just acting, princess. It means absolutely nothing. Hope you know that?”
what? it means absolutely nothing to him? And here i am blus-hing like a fool.
“i didn’t take it personal, okay? i…i…” I was trying to love for a suitable excuse to get me out of this mess but nothing was coming.
“you didn’t really take it personal, did you?” He wasn’t smirking this time around. His face were in a frown. A cute one at that.
I must be going insane.
“no. of course not.” I blurted out.
He sighed in relief and smiled. “good. Because trust me, i don’t hook up with tomboys, or girls with…that hair.” was he referring to my ponytail or to the color of my hair? “and most importantly i don’t hook up with nerds like you.” What? nerd? he just called me a nerd?
I took in a de-ep breath. That really hurts but i won’t satisfy him by making him realize how much of a pain it caused.
jacka-ss.
“i don’t date…”
“shush. i don’t need you to tell me, okay? Besides we will not even be on the same bed talk more of hooking up. And for dating? Nah, that isn’t even in my dictionary.” He smir-ked. “I’m hungry. can you cook?”
This guy really have a nerve. Cook? for him? He has got to be kidding me.

Okay, that didn’t go as i planned because i still cooked for him, i owe him, remember? But too bad, the food su-cks. I can’t cook, and i tried my best, okay? so don’t blame me.
Enough of the recap. I need to focus on now.
Joshua was still staring at him. Why was he staring? Oh, he asked a question.
“sorry i was a bit lost.”
He rolled his eyes. “it was obvious. What are you doing out here this early?” He asked, his voice were soft this time around.
“um, is there a room for me?”
He furred his brows at me. “room? what room?”
I cleared my throat. “i will like to join you for the morning run. That is if you don’t mind.”
“why? I mean, you have a perfect shape already.”
oh my God, i couldn’t help the blus-h. God, what is wrong with me? I am not the type who blus-hes for every single thing, so what was going on with me?
“um…i know,” Okay, i shouldn’t have said that. “i still want to keep fit.”
He hesitate for a while thinking about something. I wish i had the ability to read thoughts.
?Joshua’s pov?
She was still staring at me waiting for my reply. Who could say no to this pretty face? Yeah, she is pretty. She might be a tomboy but trust me, that’s what made her beautiful.
She was different. Different from every other girls I’d hooked up with. Different from Jessie.
When we were being introduced and i got to know that she was involved in a love scandal with Josh. I could couldn’t help but hate her as well. Anyone related to Josh was also an enemy of mine.
I know you are wondering who the hell is Jessie and my reason for hating Josh, anyway, that’s a story for another day.
“fine.” I sighed. I look at her from head to toe. She was just putting on a see throu-ghtop with no bra. fu-ck! This girl is beautiful. Why is Josh always lucky with girls? “are you going out in that?”
“Yes! i feel so excited.” She started jogging on a sp-ot. So adorable.
“look down at yourself.”
She looked confuse before looking down. Her eyes wide-ned as a gasped escaped from her li-ps. She looked at me then down at herself, up at me again, down at herself again.
Why was she staring at me? Oh, i was staring. I quickly looked away.
“oh my God.” I heard her say.
?Ashley’s pov?
I hurried my way out to my room. What was that? why did i leave the room without changing? oh, i heard someone stumbled and i was so concern and worried that i left the room without thinking.
God. I feel so embarra-ssed. How long has he being staring? I started blus-hing again. No, i think i need help.
I put on a comfortable black crop top with a black hoodie and a black leggings and i also put on a black canvas. Of course my hair was in its usual.
I slowly walked out of my room. i feel so uncomfortable. fu-ck!
what? Did i just swear? Oh, no. What are the Js doing to me?
Joshua was no where to be seen. Wait, did he got tired of waiting and decided to leave? what if he was actually joking in the first place of me coming with him.
I quickly ran out but suddenly bump into someone back.
“sorry.” I mumbled and tried to run to the right direction in search of Joshua when the person who i had bumped into, dragged me back from my hood.
“where are you going to?” That voice. I look up at the person, my suspicion was correct.
“i was going to look for you.”
“well, i am not lost.” He let go of my hood.
“i thought you had left without me.”
He smiled. He smiled again. wow, i might be seeing more of his cute smile. I love his smile. What? rephrase, he is still a ha-rd face.
“awwn, of course not. I was tired of wait–why am i even explaining.” His smile disappeared and his face became ha-rd again. you see, he is still a ha-rd face. “come on, let’s go, pony.” He started running.
pony? who was that? I followed him from behind.
“who is pony?” I asked.
“you!” I said without looking back at me. what? did he just get nickname for me? And what’s up with the guys and this nickname of theirs. Jeffrey, Jay, Jack and Jason always call me Jessie, Josh always call me princess and now, Joshua is calling me Pony. I literally have four names and that includes my real name.
“i always see you in that ponytail.” He added. yeah, he was right. I deserve the name.
“whatever.” I mumbled. Since he got me a nickname then i should get one for him too, okay, I’ve actually gotten him a nickname. “slow down, ha-rd face.” I chuckled as he stopped on his track and stare at me. ha-rd face it sound so adorable. I stuck out my tongue at him and ran off while he followed me from behind.
Ever since i met the Js, Joshua is the only person i feel so attached to even if he was such a di-ck from the beginning. I swore again. I’m crazy, no doubt. TBC.
